Frequently Asked Questions
about Homeopathy
I have given below answers to the most common questions I am
asked. Please contact me if
you would like to discuss any other issues.
How does homeopathy work?
A correctly chosen homeopathic prescription acts as a holistic
stimulus to the body's ability to heal itself. It therefore
stimulates the body to repair itself naturally.
Is homeopathy safe?
Yes. Homeopathy is not only safe, but also natural and
effective.
How long will it take to get better?
This depends upon the nature of the problem and individual
response. Generally the longer a person has had a condition the
longer it takes to treat.
A classical homeopath will aim to cure
both the symptoms and the cause of the symptoms as the treatment
is based on the individual rather than the disease. Other
factors such as severity of symptoms, age and life style all
play their part in the healing process.
Can I have homeopathic treatment if I am receiving treatment
from my GP?
Homeopathy does not interfere or conflict with conventional
medicine and it is perfectly safe to take both at the same time.
Homeopathy is often able to bring lasting relief from symptoms.
I recommend that you continue your relationship with your GP.
Your GP can arrange any blood tests, x-rays etc that may be
needed. So that you can benefit from both homeopathy and
conventional medicine I can work in partnership with your GP if
you wish me to.
What can homeopathy treat?
See list.
Do I give group presentations on homeopathy?
Yes, I regularly give presentations on the subject of homeopathy
to local and regional groups.
How can I find you?
Clinics are provided at Fleet additionally, I provide a service to people
in Hospital, hospice and in their own home including nursing and
residential homes. Furthermore, a
telephone consultation
service is available.
