About Me - Raymond Addison
My career spans both conventional and homeopathic medicine and I
continue to practice in both fields.
My interest in health started in 1974 when I began working in
the National Health Service as a student nurse. I qualified as a
Registered Nurse in 1977 and then went on to become a health
visitor in 1980. Having practised as a health visitor I moved on
to teaching and assessing student health visitors.
After several years as a Director of Nursing in the NHS my
interest in homeopathy developed as I encountered patients and
professional colleagues frustrated by the limitations of
conventional medicine. I decided to train as a homeopath for
four years at the Allen College of Homeopathy in Chelmsford,
Essex where the emphasis is on classical homeopathy. I am a
qualified and registered homeopath (R. S. Hom), insured and
regulated by the
Society of Homeopaths.
In addition to my
homeopathic practice I continue to be a registered nurse and
health visitor with the United Kingdom Nursing and Midwifery
Council and work on a consultancy basis for the NHS. I also lecture at the Allen College of Homeopathy.
As a registered homeopath I am required to maintain and develop
my professional expertise by means of attending courses and
professional groups. This unique combination of
expertise in classical homeopathy and conventional medicine
provides patients with confidence to use my homeopathic service.
